The Oak Ridge Boys have released Buried Treasures, a 10-song collection that brings familiar songs into the group’s harmony-driven world. The album arrived October 30 through Lightning Rod Records.
Produced and engineered by Anderson East, with Dave Cobb as executive producer, the project moves between gospel, country and popular standards. Selections include “Lean on Me,” “Bridge Over Troubled Water,” “How Great Thou Art” and Billy Joe Shaver’s “Live Forever.”
The title track, “Buried Treasure,” is the collection’s only newly written song. Aaron Raitiere wrote it specifically for the project.
Rather than a conventional greatest-hits package, this release gathers songs the Oaks have valued for years. It offers listeners a chance to hear that musical history through a new set of recordings.
